Cicero Public Beta

We are excited to announce the public beta of Cicero, a place where you can engage in thoughtful conversations. Whether it's something divisive like politics or light-hearted like your favourite hobby, we all need spaces for civil discourse.

Cicero is inspired by the early days of the Internet when communities were smaller and online social spaces were not optimized for engagement and advertisers.

Intimate communities

At the core of Cicero is the ability to easily create a private community and engage a small number of people in conversation. These are invite-only spaces built on trust and genuine interaction.

Communities set their own guidelines and are given the necessary tools to moderate people and conversations. After all, it's your community.

Conversations, not engagement

Cicero is inspired by old-school forums and takes a minimalistic approach to focus on long-form conversations.

  • There are no algorithms pushing people to scroll endlessly.
  • Conversations are organized into categories and threads.
  • Content appears in natural chronological order. No unseen forces decide what is visible!
  • A search function is available to find what you're looking for quickly.
  • Simple pagination helps you orient yourself and bookmark pages.

Less noise

Many chat applications are constantly buzzing and always need your attention. Even if you're not participating, every conversation is highlighted, and the app won't let you rest until you've read everything!

Cicero takes a different approach. It's quiet by default, but if you choose to engage in a conversation, it will gently nudge you if something new happens.

Join the public beta!

We hope Cicero can be a place where you can create your own space and foster genuine connections instead of shouting into the social media void.
